At Acclivis Technologies, I’ve had the opportunity to work on complex real-time control systems like the Cooling Distribution Unit (CDU). In this project, I was responsible for implementing a Modbus TCP/IP service that enables seamless communication between the CDU system and the SMC controller.

The architecture was service-based, with each service running independently—my main focus was ensuring that the Modbus service could reliably read data like temperature, pressure, and flow from the database and make it available for real-time control.

This role helped me build a strong foundation in industrial communication protocols and system integration. The collaborative and hands-on environment at Acclivis has been key to accelerating my learning and growth as an engineer.

At Acclivis Technologies, I’ve had the opportunity to work on real-world AI and computer vision projects that directly impact safety, automation, and user experience. From developing a Video Doorbell system with object detection and face recognition using YOLO and ArcFace, to implementing people tracking in retail environments using BoTSORT, every project has deepened my understanding of applied AI.

One of the most meaningful projects for me was the Driver Monitoring System, where we used MediaPipe face landmarks to detect drowsiness, yawning, and risky behaviors like smoking or distraction. These insights are crucial for improving road safety. I also worked on advanced fall detection for elderly care using AlphaPose and ST-GCN—an application that blends deep learning with real human impact.

At Acclivis, I’ve had the freedom to experiment with new models like GANs for data augmentation, and the support to bring ideas into production. The team culture here encourages innovation, learning, and solving real problems through intelligent systems. It’s a place where research meets application, and I’m proud to be part of it.

Software Engineer (AI/ML)

Working at Acclivis Technologies has allowed me to explore the full spectrum of AI and machine learning—from applied systems to deep research. I’ve contributed to projects like the Smart Bed Design, where we used ML and signal processing to analyze sleep patterns, optimized on platforms like Databricks, AWS, and Docker.

I’ve also worked on safety-critical solutions like Lane Detection and a Collision Warning System, where I implemented computer vision models using Hough Transforms, SSD, and MobileNet to identify road lanes and vehicles, helping predict and prevent potential accidents.

One of the most interesting projects I led was Brain-Computer Interface development, where we used EEG signals to classify motor imagery—creating a foundation for upper limb rehabilitation systems. I also developed a plant classification system using SVMs, blending computer vision with agricultural applications.

Android Developer

At Acclivis Technologies, I’ve had the chance to work on a wide range of innovative Android and IoT-based applications, spanning industrial tools, automotive systems, and smart appliances.

One of my key projects was the Rhewum Tools App, which helps optimize industrial material separation by providing real-time tools like Mesh Converter and VibChecker. I also contributed to Broadcast Radio HAL integration in Android Automotive OS, where I implemented AIDL interfaces for NXP’s Mercury Radio Tuner—an exciting blend of software and hardware integration.

In the automotive domain, I worked on Regio2, helping build secure systems and HMI components for media player UIs. I also led development on a Connected App, enabling users to control home appliances like ovens and refrigerators via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

Another impactful project was a Vehicle Monitoring System, where I built an Android app offering GPS tracking, driver behavior insights, and real-time diagnostics—improving fleet safety and efficiency.

At Acclivis Technologies, I’ve had the opportunity to lead and contribute to safety-critical automotive and embedded systems, where reliability and precision are non-negotiable. One of my key projects was the DC-DC Converter ECU for electric vehicles. I was responsible for architecting the software using a Time-Triggered Framework, developing an application state machine, and managing power modes—all aligned with ISO26262 ASIL-B standards. I also worked hands-on with UDS, CAN TP stacks, MCAL configuration, and conducted diagnostic and fault analysis to ensure robust system behavior.

Another significant experience was designing firmware for a tactical-grade Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) based on the STM32F7. From BSP bring-up and peripheral driver development to algorithm optimization and automated test framework creation, this project demanded high performance and compliance with safety standards under the ASPICE model.

I also worked on an OBDII Vehicle Diagnosis Device, integrating a heterogeneous architecture combining a 32-bit MCU on FreeRTOS for vehicle and diagnostic services with a Quad-Core SoC running Linux for telematics and cloud connectivity. This project bridged embedded real-time control and high-level data communication.

At Acclivis Technologies, I’ve had the chance to work across a diverse set of testing and validation projects that directly support the reliability of smart and embedded systems. I contributed to AI-based Video Doorbell testing, validating human and face detection performance under challenging real-world conditions like low light and occlusion.

Automation has been a key part of my role—using Cucumber and Node.js, I built integration and regression test suites, seamlessly integrating them into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins. I also worked on IMU firmware validation, automating test cases with Python and Robot Framework to ensure stability and accuracy during updates.

Beyond software, I’ve led HMI and hardware validation for critical control systems and verified PPP stack enablement over virtual COM interfaces, focusing on both functionality and security.

The best part of being at Acclivis is the collaborative, hands-on environment where testing is seen as a critical part of building quality tech. Every day here brings new challenges and learning opportunities.
